The newest member of Google’s Android Experiments lineup is Sprayscape, a VR-style camera app. For now it is Android-only. It lets you record virtual-reality flavored video using a phone camera.
Sprayscape helps you fill a 360-degree space: open the app, touch the screen to capture, and move the phone to paint in empty regions of the virtual sphere. When you are done, you can share the result with a link.
Google published the code on GitHub so others can build similar experiments, and the app is listed on Google Play. It is playful more than polished, which fits the Experiments brand: try a wild camera idea quickly, then see what the community does next.
