Instagram EMEA Business Development Manager Amy Cole shared the Turkey user count. Cole said the community has reached 22 million people in Turkey: “Our business here is growing with our community. Instagram ads opened to businesses in Turkey in September 2015, and since then we have seen promising results with our partners in the country. Our 22 million-strong community in Turkey keeps growing every day, which helps local businesses of every size talk with their customers in a meaningful way.”
On the global side, more than 500 million people use Instagram actively each month. About 20% of that base is in the United States and 80% is elsewhere. More than 95 million photos and videos are shared on the platform every day.
