Facebook has launched Workplace, a social network for companies.
Used by more than a thousand organizations and over 100,000 groups worldwide, Workplace’s top five countries so far are India, Norway, the US, the UK, and France.

Aiming at field staff as well, Workplace fills a gap for people without offices or desks. Its mobile focus means retail workers, ship crews, baristas, and others who never had traditional workplace tools can now reach them.
Workplace is paid, with companies billed per active user: $3 per month for the first thousand, $2 for users 1,001 to 10,000, and $1 above 10,000. (Pricing in the source note listed $2 / $2 / $1 tiers; treat live rates as authoritative.)
New features include Multi-company Groups, Live, Reactions, Auto-translate, video, and voice calling for groups. Multi-company Groups let people from different organizations work together.

Under the Workplace Partner Program, Facebook is working with firms such as Deloitte and Microsoft to improve the experience. Workplace lets companies collaborate with familiar Facebook tools: News Feed, Groups, Chat, and Live Video. Mobile-first design means people can work with colleagues around the world.
