Before the film itself, a quick note on the noise everyone already heard. Our heavyset Northern neighbor runs his country like a fenced farm, and American studios answered with a movie that criticized him. Before it even hit theaters, a very fine film from that same shop (and more besides) somehow exploded onto the top of torrent charts. That film is Fury.
Brad Pitt (still somehow not looking his age) drops us into Nazi Germany in the middle of World War II. As usual, brave American soldiers (weren’t the really brave ones Scottish?) get loyalty, courage, and skill in the spotlight. Spoiler-light: it is a tank sergeant’s war story. Most of the leads do not live long enough to tell the grandkids; one does, and that is your spoiler. Story about 7.5/10, technique and shooting 9/10, acting 9.1/10 (the extra 0.1 is the Brad Pitt coefficient).
If you want to watch it, stick to legal options. Closing with anti-imperial, anti-capitalist, anti-fascist, and anti-pharaoh feelings in the spirit of Nuri Pakdil. Mention America and you have to jab at capitalism once.
