Verified Pages can now schedule Facebook Live sessions and tease them to followers before the stream starts.

Facebook is rolling out a new option for verified Pages: you can share the time of a Facebook Live broadcast with your audience before you go on air.

Creators get a chance to promote the stream early and build a larger audience. When you schedule a live session, Facebook posts a notice on the Page, and people who want a reminder can get a one-time notification before the stream begins. You can schedule as far as one week ahead.

Viewers may also join a chat room created for the broadcast three minutes before start time and talk about the show or the host.

The feature is expected to reach more verified Pages over the coming weeks.
